Every student in the Esquimalt Music Program has their own music account. This is largely due to the fabulous volunteerism of our music parents association, specifically our treasurer! This account holds any money raised from fundraising events such as Bottle Drives, Winter Fundraisers, etc. The money in the account can be used toward music-related activities such as paying deposits for a music tour, private lessons, concert tickets, CDs, etc.
How do I know my account balance? In order to gain funds, you will have to participate in a fundraising activity that distributes an amount of its total to the participants involved. For example, the Winter Fundraiser (Poinsettias and Purdys) typically designates 75% of what you raise towards your music account. To make a request for your account balance, please email Ms. Treble jtreble@sd61.bc.ca.
How do I access the funds in my account? In order to access the funds from your account you will need to provide a receipt for your music activity (please make sure the music "activity" is clearly marked on the receipt such as the name of the private teacher, name of the music store, etc.) to Ms. Allison, Mr. Leeson, or Ms. Treble, who will pass it along to the EMPA treasurer. Once the treasurer receives your receipt she will write a cheque for the amount in your name. Please allow a couple of weeks for this transaction to take place.
